Chris Tomlin - I Lift My Hands

Enjoy listening to the worship song ‘I Lift My Hands’ by Chris Tomlin today.

“Be still, there is a healer, His love is deeper than the sea, His mercy, it is unfailing
His arms are a fortress for the weak, let faith arise, let faith arise, I lift my hands to believe again
You are my refuge, You are my strength, as I pour out my heart, these things I remember You are faithful, God, forever, be still, there is a river that flows from Calvary's tree”

The song ‘I Lift My Hands’ is from Chris Tomlin’s 2010 album titled And If Our God Is For Us, and it was released in April 2011 as the third single. It was written by Chris Tomlin, Matt Maher and Louie Giglio. The song became Chris Tomlin’s fourth “Hot Christian Songs” number 1 hit, and it stayed there for one week. And ‘I Lift My Hands’ lasted 33 weeks on the overall chart.

Chris Tomlin shares a bit about the song and the meaning behind it: “When we say ‘I Lift My Hands,’ it is a beautiful expression. It’s a human expression, not just Christians. We see people lift their hands about all kinds of things that excite them, like football games. It signals victory and it is natural to lift our hands. Or it’s a time of surrender. This song is about lifting up our hands in surrender to God and reaching out to God for help.”

He continues: “That’s why the song includes the lyrics ‘let faith arise.’ The lyrics ‘let faith arise in me’ are okay to admit. It was okay for David to admit it. Louie was struggling with anxiety and I think it’s beautiful. People can relate to that message. You may see someone on stage and think I wish I could walk with God like that. Nobody has a red phone to God. We’re all in the same place. We all struggle while we walk on this earth. It’s just this picture of someone reaching out to God and saying, Lord, I’m just remembering Your faithfulness and I just need You now in my life. I’ve seen Your faithfulness through the years of my life, and I’m calling out again, I lift my hands to believe again.”

What a beautiful song with a powerful message. We hope you enjoyed listening to it here today!

'Hold On' Katy Nichole Official Music Video

Check out the official music video for the new song ‘Hold On’ by Katy Nichole.

“Smoke clouds all around, couldn’t see your face, darkness consumed me
Stuck in the bitterness, but I know there’s a light that’s waiting up ahead
So, I’ll stay in the fight and look to the one who said hold on just a little bit longer
I know it’s gonna be okay, these days are gonna make you stronger”

This powerful song by Katy Nichole was written about one of the lowest times in her life, a time when she was battling depression and anxiety. And Katy shared more about the song and the heart behind it in a video she posted to Instagram.

“I wanted to talk about a song on my brand new album called ‘Hold On,’” she said. “This song is incredibly important to me, and it’s a little bit harder for me to talk about because it’s such a deep part of my story, and it is a little bit darker. I’ve dealt with a lot of anxiety and depression in my life and even at one point had suicidal thoughts. There was one point where I picked up a bottle of pills and I took it to the bathroom, and when I did—there was nothing in my path—but that bottle of pills fell onto the floor and spilled.”

Katy continued: “In that moment I felt God saying to me, ‘Hold on, I’m not done yet.’ I picked up those pills and threw them in the trash can because I knew that God still had a plan and a purpose for my life. I hope this song can encourage you and remind you that your life matters so, so much and you can hold on because you have a purpose.”

What an incredible testimony. And it is beautiful to see Katy use her story and her talent to shine the light of Christ to others through her music.

Christian Family Sings ‘He Will Carry You’

A family of gifted vocalists beautifully performed a track about the love, power and strength of God.

Troubles and hardships have a way of finding everyone at one time or another. Sometimes they arise out of poor decisions and wrong choices. However, they can also come about through no fault of our own. Regardless of how they came to be, situations and circumstances can be overwhelming, making daily life unbearable.

However, God in His Word mentions that He will never leave or forsake us. Instead, He will remain by our side throughout the entire ordeal, going through it with us.

In a clip posted on YouTube, The Asidors sing “He Will Carry You,” a song about how God will see us through those burdensome and troubling situations. In fact, as the singers state, over and over throughout the song, God will shoulder our concerns. He will bear the weight.

The song’s lyrics detail just how much God will and can do in those times of great despair.

“There is no problem too big, God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall, He cannot move it
There is no storm too dark, God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep, He cannot soothe it”

The four singers – two men and two women – give an outstanding vocal performance in the video. They all display the beauty and strength of their voices while singing about God’s incredible ability to work wonders in our lives.

The video is straightforward and extremely simple. It’s shot in one location, with each of the four singers getting plenty of time to shine on camera. Instead of all the bells and whistles, the video’s primary focus is on the magnificent lyrics, which tell about God’s power and strength.

Isaiah 46:4 “And even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear, yes, I will carry, and will deliver.”

'Carry Me' Ryan Stevenson Lyric Video

Check out this lyric video for the new song ‘Carry Me’ by Ryan Stevenson.

“Heavy heart inside my chest, I try so hard I give my best, these tired legs are shaking,
Don't know how much longer I can take it, one step forward and two steps back,
This narrow road ain’t an easy path, feeling so defeated, more than anything I've ever needed
I need You to carry me, Lord, won't You carry me, all my weary is weighing down”

This powerful song was written by Ryan Stevenson, Micah Kuiper, and AJ Pruis. The lyrics show a plea to God for help and guidance, a feeling that many people can relate to. We are reminded through this song of the power of prayer and how we can find strength when we surrender our burdens to our Heavenly Father.

‘Carry Me’ is one of eight songs from Ryan Stevenson’s new album titled ABLE. The songs are all a celebration of Ryan’s identity in Christ, and he shared a bit about that in a recent interview.

“For the first time ever, I’ve become rooted and established in my beloved identity,” he shared. “The Holy Spirit has begun to peel off layers of insecurity, and fear of rejection. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says we are ‘the righteousness of God,’ and Galatians 2:20 says we ‘have been crucified with Christ’ and that everything connected with the old flesh has died. This revelation has pierced my heart and brought me tremendous freedom and a passion for helping others see Jesus through the same lens.”

Ryan also talked about the heart behind his song ‘Carry Me.’

“‘Carry Me’ is the deepest expression of how I’ve felt over the last three years,” Ryan said. “It’s been a daily prayer for me, having dealt with tremendous fear, uncertainty, and feelings of rejection. I experienced a lot of loneliness in this last season, and simply asking God to carry me felt like the prayer of a child longing for his dad.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Carry Me’ by Ryan Stevenson today and the song was able to bring you some encouragement.

Women’s Choir Sings Cover Of ‘Thank God I Do’ By Lauren Daigle

A talented group of female vocalists beautifully perform a hit song from Lauren Daigle.

Lauren Daigle is an incredibly musically gifted and widely known Christian music artist. Already in her very young career, Lauren has released several hit songs, including “Rescue,” “Hold on to Me,” and “Look Up Child.” Her always-popular hit “You Say” even enjoyed massive crossover success, getting a ton of play on pop radio.

Due to her high visibility, her beautiful songs and her immense musical talent, Lauren’s work is a popular choice for covers. A quick YouTube search of “Lauren Daigle covers” will turn up dozens of videos of other musicians performing her songs.

In a video recently posted to YouTube, a group of women covers Lauren’s latest hit, “Thank God I Do.” Using only their God-given instruments, their voices, the women beautifully harmonize the song from one of the biggest names in Christian music today.

“I don’t know who I’d be if I didn’t know You
I’d probably fall off the edge
I don’t know where I’d do if You ever let go
So keep me held in Your hands”

In addition to covering the lyrics from Lauren’s song, the women also use a similar look to Lauren’s official video for “Thank God I Do.” In Lauren’s video, flowers are prominently displayed throughout. Lauren even sports a bouquet on her head.

The young ladies in the cover video do something similar. All the women have flowers in their hair in some form or fashion. Also, when the clip cuts to one of the women singing by themselves, flowers are always displayed on either side of them.

What an elegantly performed cover of an already terrific song!

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

‘The Dove’ Kari Jobe And The Belonging Co Acoustic Performance

A group of gifted musicians performed a song about God’s creation, the fall of man and God’s plan of redemption, to bridge the gap sin created between man and Him.

Since Adam and Eve took a bite of the fruit from the forbidden tree in the garden, sin has been present in the world. Death, hurt, destruction, sickness and disease made their way into our world. Man is a fallen and sinful being.

However, God, through the death of His son, Jesus Christ, made a way for man to be brought back to Him, to be redeemed.

Kari Jobe and The Belonging Co. in the song “The Dove” sing about God’s creation, the death of His son and the guiding and loving Holy Spirit.

In the song’s opening verse, the musicians mention how God, who is all-powerful, demonstrated this by simply speaking the world into existence. Man, the lyrics point out, was intended and created to be a “friend of God” and to “dwell in his presence.” But, as we all know, man’s arrogance and ignorance got in the way, bringing about sin, pain and suffering to humanity.

The second verse adds that despite man’s fallen nature, God had a plan to cleanse people of their sins. He sent his one and only son into the world to suffer a painful and horrifying death on the cross. Jesus Christ took our place, making the ultimate sacrifice of love.

The third and final verse mentions that God left the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us. The Holy Spirit is another gift that none of us could ever do anything to earn.

What a lovely song that details man’s fall and God’s loving and perfect plan to bring humans back into a relationship with Him. He has given us a way to overcome sin, to bridge the division sin caused between man and God.

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will be your teacher in all things and will put in mind of everything I have said to you.”

‘Talking To Jesus’ Brandon Lake And Thomas Rhett Live From The Ryman

Two massively talented musicians – Brandon Lake and Thomas Rhett – teamed up for a tune about how actions influence and impact others at a historic Nashville venue.

Christians are to witness and to spread the message of Jesus Christ to others. People, for the most part, believe this means having in-depth conversations about Christ and His death on the cross. Yes, that’s one part of it. But, as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

Simply living out your life in a way that honors Christ and adheres to his message and teachings can make a big impact on those around us. Our neighbors and children are always watching, observing to see if our actions really do live up to what our mouths profess.

In the song “Talking to Jesus,” Brandon and Thomas sing about instances in which the actions of someone else influenced and affected their faith. In the opening verse, Brandon mentions how, when he was a child, he would hear his grandmother praying out loud, something she did all her life.

In the second verse, Thomas sings how his mother had him in church every Sunday and Wednesday evening as a child. He admits he fought her nearly every step of the way. But he states his mother let him know how, one day, he would be thankful that God was a part of his life. Turns out, his mother was right.

“Mama used to drag me to church
Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights
Khaki pants and a polo shirt
Y’all know I put up a fight”

Now, as they both sing, because of the actions of their grandmother and mother, they are passing that faith and belief in Christ to others.

Brandon also adds that his son walked in on him while he was praying, which led to both “talking to Jesus.”

Psalm 145:18 “The Lord is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth.”

‘If The Lord Build The House’ Hope Darst Official Music Video

A gifted singer performs a track about battling and defeating life’s many storms because of the Lord’s immense power, strength and guidance.

In life, everyone will encounter troubling and trying situations. These unpleasant circumstances may result in difficult and ultimately unanswered questions. But no matter what happens, we can rest assured that the Lord will never leave or forsake us, as God’s Word mentions.

Hope Darst, in the official video for her song “If the Lord Builds the House,” reminds us that God will see us through those times. He will remain by our side, providing strength, comfort and love all along the way. Jesus Christ is the firm foundation.

People often find themselves in bad spots because they rely upon their own strength and ability. But as most have likely already discovered that always has been and will be a recipe for disaster. The lyrics in the song’s first verse perfectly articulate this point.

Instead, building a life, a foundation on Jesus, who is the way, the truth and the life, will never be defeated or torn down, the chorus states. That house will remain standing.

“Cause if the Lord build the house
Nobody can tear it down
If the Lord builds the house
Nobody can tear it down”

In addition to the beautiful lyrics about building a life on the power and promises of Christ, the video also helps to drive home that message. A family of four – mom, dad, and two daughters – are seen getting ready and eventually leaving for church.

As this happens, the camera catches the mother reading in and turning the pages of a Bible. There are a couple of other close-up shots of the Bible. A copy of God’s Word rests on the dashboard of the family’s car and there is another one in the back of a pew in the church.

What a terrific, uplifting song with a truth-filled message about God’s strength and power. He is the solid foundation for our lives!

Luke 6:48 “He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.”

Cody Carnes - Firm Foundation (He Won't)

Listen to this encouraging song called ‘Firm Foundation (He Won’t)’ by Cody Carnes and have your spirits lifted today.

“Christ is my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand, when everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad that I put my faith in Jesus, ‘cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations, so why would He fail now? He won't, He won't
I've still got joy in chaos, I've got peace that makes no sense, I won't be going under”

What an amazing song with a powerful message. ‘Firm Foundation (He Won’t)’ by Cody Carnes reminds us that when we put our faith in Jesus, we will never be disappointed with the result.

Cody Carnes shared about the inspiration behind this worship song. “In such a shaky season, it was burning in my heart to write a song that declared what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7,” he said. “It says, ‘Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.’ The world can be in chaos all outside our windows, but when we build our house on Jesus, we can have confidence knowing that our foundation is secure. We’re not going down! This new song celebrates that truth. I pray it blesses you.”

Singer Kari Jobe who is also the wife of Cody Carnes also shared her thoughts about her husband’s song. “This one is a joy bomb, a faith rocket, a punch to the gut of the enemy,” she said. “If you build your house on the rock you won't be shaken or taken out by the enemy. Turn this on as loudly as you can today and dance around your house- I dare you. It will shift something deep in your soul and remind your spirit that God doesn't fail…He can't and He won't. Oh man...my new favorite Cody Carnes…and you're always my favorite."

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this song today!

We The Kingdom - Mine

Check out this wonderful performance by We The Kingdom of their song ‘Mine.’

“Wanted something to call my own, I was tired of being alone, went looking for beautiful
And You’re beautiful, so beautiful, settled down in a house of sand
Storm came and it could not stand, felt like Jesus took my hand, it was beautiful
I’m yours and you’re mine till the end of time, sweeter than water, sweeter than wine”

What an incredible song full of so much energy and passion. The song ‘Mine’ was written by Andrew Bergthold, Ed Cash, Scott Cash, Franni Cash, and Martin Cash. And some of the scripture references in the lyrics include John 17:10 and Song of Songs 2:16.

In this music video for ‘Mine,’ the band members of We The Kingdom are all gathered around each other, playing instruments and singing out the lyrics of this beautiful tune. There is joy and hope seen through their performance, and it is wonderful to see them using their talents for God’s glory.

We The Kingdom recently released their self-titled sophomore album, and ‘Mine’ is one of the songs on the 13-track project. The songs are a great blend of rock, country, and Gospel. And they also draw inspiration from decades-worth of musical influences in a way only a multi-generational family band can.

The band consists of multiple generations of relatives: Andrew Bergthold, Ed Cash, Franni Rae Cash, Martin Cash, and Scott Cash. And the band's name comes after the idea that "the kingdom of God is here among us".

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Mine’ by We The Kingdom today and the song was able to bring you some joy and encouragement.
