If you have young children then you already know this time of year is ALL about them! Sure, they try to include us but we as parents knock ourselves out for the sake of our kids. Well, after we ring in the new year, I have an idea for you to consider. It’s absolutely okay to sneak away for a quick vacation without the kids! Think of it as hitting the refresh button on your life—reconnecting, recharging, and maybe even finishing a full meal in peace. Call Grandma and Grandpa (they’re always looking for extra grandkid snuggles anyway) or enlist a trusted sitter. A few days away can work wonders, and when you return, you’ll have new energy and stories to share. The kids will be just fine—and so will you. Go ahead, you deserve it!
