About Russ Kendzior
As the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI), Russ Kendzior is recognized worldwide as one of the leading safety experts specializing in slip, trip-and-fall prevention. As President of Traction Experts, Inc. Russ has consulted with numerous fortune 500 corporations and has been retained as an expert witness on more than 900 slip, trip-and-fall lawsuits.
Russ is the Secretary of the NFSI B101 Committee for the Prevention of Slips, Trips, and Fall’s and is a member of the Board of Delegates of the National Safety Council. Russ has been an active member of nine ASTM committees, and is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, and a past member of the International Code Council. As an internationally recognized safety expert, Russ Kendzior has testified before the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) as well as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Sought nationwide as a safety expert, public speaker, and expert witness, Russ is the author of three best-selling books on slip, trip and fall prevention entitled; “Slip and Fall Prevention Made Easy” (1999), “Fall’s Aren’t Funny” (2010) and FLOORED! Real-Life Stories from a Slip and Fall Expert Witness” (2017).
Russ has written a wide range of articles on the subject of slip, trip and fall prevention for such industry publications as Chain Store Age, ISSA Today, Services Magazine, Texas Lawyer, Attorney at Law, and Professional Retail Store Maintenance Magazine (PRSM).
Russ Kendzior is a past member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and has spoken before many trade and professional associations, corporations as well as colleges and universities. Russ has appeared on numerous nationally television and cable programs including: PBS, Inside Edition, Good Morning America, CBS News and ABC News Primetime “What Would You Do” and is the host of the “Slip and Fall Guy” podcast.
