A teen in Fresno, California is banned from wearing her Make American Great Again Hat at school. Maddie Mueller is a senior and when she asked if she could wear her MAGA hat on campus, she was denied.

She claims the school's dress code doesn't say anything about political apparel, but she was slapped with several dress code violations.

The school claims the code is there to keep kids safe and free from distractions.

Mueller, who says she hopes to one day be a member of congress, says her school district has violated her First Amendment rights by forbidding her from wearing the hat.

The teen said her parents are supporting her, but they are concerned the school might not let her graduate.
