Parents from nearly two dozen California school districts staged a so-called “SeXXX Ed Sit Out” on Tuesday to protest highly graphic, state-mandated sex education and gender identity lessons in public schools.

PR Newswire reports the parents sent a letter ahead of the protest to express their outrage over “Pornographic, age-inappropriate (as young as 4 years old), highly-biased and medically inaccurate instruction” being implemented across the state under the guise of health education.

The parents claimed the state is “indoctrinating our children in scientifically unsubstantiated gender theory” and are prescribing puberty blockers for gender transition without informing parents.

The sit-out organizer said about 1,300 parents participated across three Southern California counties.
