Thousands of college students gathered in an Oklahoma State University arena Tuesday night, not for basketball – but for a worship service where hundreds came forward to make a decision for Christ.

More than 5,000 students attended in what was the latest stop on the Unite Us movement, a nationwide series of worship gatherings marked by testimonies, musical worship, baptisms, and a growing spiritual hunger among Gen Z.

It was held in Gallagher-Iba Arena, the home court for the Cowboys and Cowgirls in Stillwater, Okla.

“5,500 students gathered at Oklahoma State University tonight to lift the name of Jesus,” Unite Us visionary Tonya Prewett wrote on Instagram.

“Hundreds stood and made a decision to go all in with Jesus. And later came forward to worship and receive prayer. We are amazed by the number of students who experienced freedom and healing. God is moving on college campuses!”

In the days leading up to the event, students saw videos online from OSU students, athletes, and coaches inviting them to attend. Oklahoma State football coach Eric Morris, who is entering his first season, recorded a video encouraging students to come out and hear a “great message.”

Unite Us began at Auburn University in 2023, when a campus prayer gathering drew thousands of students and sparked a movement that quickly expanded to campuses across the nation that fall.

The event at Oklahoma State isn’t the only major event in recent weeks. A Unite Us stop at Birmingham’s Samford University in April drew thousands to an on-campus arena before spilling over to a nearby football field, where countless students were baptized in the bed of a pickup truck.

Earlier this spring, 4,500 students attended a worship service at Florida State University in Tallahassee.

“This is what hunger looks like,” the official Unite Us social media accounts said after the FSU service. “This is what surrender looks like. This is what happens when students lift up the name of Jesus without holding back.”

The next Unite Us event will take place on May 8 in Columbus, Ohio, where high school students will gather for a night of worship.
